Overview
A group of inherited degenerative eye diseases that gradually destroy the retina, eventually causing blindness. It is not painful.
Common signs & symptoms
- • night blindness
- • dilated pupils
- • bumping into objects
- • cloudy eyes
🛡️ Prevention
DNA testing of breeding dogs prevents most cases. There is no cure, but affected dogs adapt well with a stable environment.
